We are a flat green outdoor bowling club and have been in existence for nearly 100 years - originally formed around 1913.
Hitchin Bowls Club was one of the founder members of the Hertfordshire Bowling Association when it was formed around 1915.
Hitchin Bowls Club moved to Bancroft Recreation Ground, nowadays known as Bancroft Gardens, when the recreation ground was opened in 1929.
Originally the Hitchin Club bowled on a bowling green behind the Ship Public House in Walsworth (now the Millstream).
