3.      I agree to my name being placed on the Hitchin Town Bowls Club notice board for 14 days for the purpose of allowing any objection to my application to be registered with the Club Secretary.

4.      I understand that my application may not be accepted following any objections to my membership and no reason be given.

5.      I must be able to demonstrate to the proposing club member that I am able to meet at the least the minimum ability to bowl on the green.

6.      As a member of Hitchin Town Bowls Club I will:

·      Treat all junior players with respect and dignity.

·      Ensure the welfare and safety of all junior players is paramount at all times.

·      Always act in a responsible way, not accepting bullying, swearing, or other disruptive behaviour on the green or around the Club facilities.

·      Liaise openly with parents or guardians of all junior players.

·      Refrain from the use of physical contact with all junior players unless absolutely essential.

·      Avoid being alone with junior players, and ensure other members are not left in such a position.

7.      I note that membership details are held on a computer for the purpose of club administration only.

Both proposer and seconder must be a full playing member of Hitchin Town Bowls Club. and be aged over 21.

The current membership fee, as applicable to the year of application, should accompany this form.

When accepted the applicant will receive notification of acceptance of his/her application by way of being issued with a current membership card dated for the year of application.

Hitchin Town Bowls Club reserves the right to later rescind membership at committee, in which case a full refund of fees paid will be made, and any membership card must be returned.

When using the Bowling Greens, other than for club matches, all club members agree to comply with the dress code of white top, with grey below the waist.

Flat soled bowls shoes white, brown or grey, must be worn whilst on the bowling greens.
